"At The Clent Consort, we believe that choral music is not a static art form, but one that lives and breathes within the architecture for which it was written. Our approach is intentionally different from the traditional weekly rehearsal model.

By operating on a project-based cycle, we allow our singers - some of whom are professional musicians and some dedicated amateurs - to immerse themselves intensely in a specific era or liturgical theme. We don't just 'perform' in cathedrals; we inhabit them. This model ensures that when we stand in the stalls of a cathedral, a great abbey, or a hidden medieval chapel, every vowel and every rest is tuned to the specific resonance of those ancient stones. It is a demanding process, but one that yields a profound singular musical identity."
